Lambda Alpha Epsilon exists to provide and protect a beneficial undergraduate experience and meaningful member relationships through dedicated alumni participation and efficient use of alumni resources.

If interested in running for a 4 year term on the Board, please contact the Secretary Steve Knapp and we'll get you on the election slate for the elections at the shareholders meeting in the fall. We need two new members each year.
We'd also like help with our Operations Teams and some short term project, so if interested in helping with things like updating and converting our database, website management, financial and operations planning, let us know by emailing "Jerry" Witter.
In 2008 at our annual retreat in York (Wronskyville), Maine we establish 4 operational teams of alumni and undergrauate board members. Their focus is on Finances, Alumni Relations, House Maintenance, and Chapter Enrichment. If you are interested in helping with any of these teams please contact Jerry Witter or Matt Jeffers.
Goals for 2012-2013 include budgeting process, database conversion for modern chapter membership management, schedule for preventative maintenance and documentation for RPI and insurance inspections.

The donations are in for the 2011 phone-a-thon. As of December 31 we had received $49,880 of the $24,00 pledged. This is a fantastic number with $28,400 was for the special set up of the James Michael Joly Zeal Fund. We still had some amount in pledges that we never received and we like to improve upon that rate in 2012. We're still kind of low with our number of donors, and are hoping to continue building from the 2006-2008 successes. This program remains a vital part of our support for the undrgraduate chapter, so please continue to contribute. Your can read more about our funds at this FAQ sheet webpage.
We'll be calling for the 2012 Phonathon in early April 2012 with followup calls in early May. See the current updates for this years donors.
In 1989 LAE had a task force to review the housing situation for NY Epsilon. As a result of the committee work, the SAE 2000 report was issued and strategies implemented for LAE. These included reviews of whether to do nothing, renovate 12 Myrtle Ave, or to build something new. Building upon past building facility reports, we reviewed what work still needed to be completed and what recurring maintenance would be needed. We also addressed the funding issues, which
is how we established the rent plan, continued reliance on the phonathon, and committed to the Lion Fund for long term savings. We have completed around $400,000 of projects since that road map was established and now it is the time for a new road map. We encourage your participation in this endeavor. The mission and charter for the SAE2011 Task Force was envisioned to help with plans for our 50th anniverary of living at 12 Myrtle Avenue. Events such as the Garage Damage Restoration has delayed the work of this group, so we need a new timeline. The planning is still important as the facility ages and student housing standards continue to evolve. A housing survey has been put toegether, so for
now if you fill out the MS Word document survey and send to Jerry Witter that would be great. Please contact us for any way

Garage Rising from the Ashes -oops, the Waters
On New Year's Day 2010, the undergraduate house manager discovered that the Garage was being flooded by water gushing from breaks in the forced hot water heating system. We have undertaken a major project to return the Garage to service and upgrade features.
