2010 LAE Phonathon
Honor Roll
We had a
mixed year in 2010. We were down in
numbers of donors, but as a result of the extra support for the Garage
Restoration we were up in the average donation per brother and up in total
donations. As of September 27, we
collected $22,400 from 133 alumni. We
had $22,090 in pledges and we should really have another 50 alumni
donating. With our historical average
donation of about $100, this would mean another $5,000 which would make this
one of the most successful phonathons on record.
There were a
total of 133 donors as of 9/27/2010 (much lower than the past maximum of 200
donors and we’ve grown our alumni base by more than 150) and each donated an
average of $168. There is still an
additional $4500 in outstanding pledges, so please send you money in. We reached our goal of bringing ourselves
above $22,000 by October 15, 2010 in time for fall alumni weekend. LAE Treasurer Mark Murdoch ’82 will still
accept checks anytime (24 Gulf Road, Somers, CT 06071)
We are going
to be working on updating our contact database and methods for phonathon and more generally our annual alumni
support. So, look for perhaps some
random call this fall to find your classmates – and, of course, your calls and
solicitations in March 2011.
